Building Custom Quality Modules and AI Workflows

What I Do
My day job is quality systems engineering for medical devices: writing ETQScript automations, managing CAPA workflows, and making sure the systems that track nonconformances actually work the way they should. It's detail-oriented work and I genuinely like it.
After hours, I channel that same energy into side projects. I built WinClip because I got tired of copy-pasting the same text transformations. I designed 52 printable models because I kept thinking "I could just make that." And I set up a homelab because I wanted to own my own data.
The Homelab
I run 24 self-hosted services, 80+ automated workflows, and local AI inference on dedicated hardware. Morning briefings, document processing, smart home control, all on-premise with no cloud dependencies. The AI stack runs a local LLM (Qwen3.5-9B), WhisperX for speech-to-text with speaker diarization, and a vector database for semantic search across everything I've ever written or saved.
Software
I build tools that solve problems I actually have. SolScribe is a self-hosted transcription platform powered by WhisperX. Prism is a privacy-first command palette that searches seven sources in parallel, including my local LLM and vector database. WinClip turns the clipboard into a contextual text toolkit with 52 actions. Everything runs locally, nothing phones home.
Making Things
I've been 3D printing since 2018. Most of my designs start the same way: I need something, I can't find it, so I open CAD. Headphone stands, desk organizers, a wine carousel, even a set of wall lamps with LED strips. 52 models and counting, all free to download on MakerWorld. Check out the full collection.
Infrastructure
I run a 24-service homelab on dedicated hardware: local AI inference, document processing, smart home control, and 80+ automated workflows. Everything is on-premise with zero cloud dependencies. This is the same infrastructure approach I deploy for consulting clients through Sovereign AI.
